In addition to our primary services such as savings and loans, The Local FCU has a full range of convenient services available to members including:
Cashier’s Checks
Cashier’s Checks are used when you request a check withdrawal from your account. For a small fee you can also request a Cashier’s Check to be made out to someone other than yourself.
Money Orders
Money orders are like checks but without some of the hassles. They are an easy and reliable way to make purchases or pay bills. They are also a good payment choice if you don’t have a checking account. Purchase a money order for a small fee of $1.00.
MasterCard Gift Cards
The Local FCU has gift cards available in denominations from $10 to $1000. They are just like cash or a gift certificate but unlike a gift certificate they are not limited to one store or one gift. They are welcomed everywhere that accepts MasterCard debit cards. To purchase one, just come in or contact the credit union. The amount you want to purchase and a small fee of $2.50 can be deducted from your savings or checking account. It’s a great gift for any occasion.
Night Drop Box
The Local FCU has a night drop box available for after hour check deposits or loan payments. It is located at the credit union office at 8787 N. Stemmons Frwy Ste 185 Dallas, TX 75247. Deposits and payments put in the night drop box are credited to your account the next business day.
Notary Service
The Local FCU has notary officers that can certify your signature and as a member of the credit union, there are no charges for this service.
Coin Counter
Like most, you probably have a jar or container of loose change lying around. The Local FCU has a machine that will sort and count your loose change in a matter of minutes, give you a receipt to deposit to your account or get cash back for a small fee. All that loose change adds up and is a great way to save for a rainy day or big ticket item.
Temporary Checks
When you open a checking account at The Local FCU you are given temporary checks to use until your printed ones are mailed. Temporary checks are also offered at the teller station for a small fee.
Western Union
The Local FCU can send money to over 257,000 Western Union Agents Worldwide. Just call the credit union to request a Western Union Wire and you can pick up your money within hours of your call.
